Well, they are back to celebrating and mocking the death of Charlie Kirk.
I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. Saturday Night Live chose to make jokes about the Trump assassination attempts, so why shouldn’t dumb high school kids be having a laugh while playing the audio of Charlie Kirk’s last moments on Earth?

Whether the Saturday Night Live jokes about assassinating Trump, which have seemed to pop up ever since the first attempt in Butler, cross any line other than tastelessness is a matter up for debate. Obviously, they do not warrant kicking the show off the air, but they surely contribute to the idea that making light of political violence, especially against conservative figures, is a laughing matter.

So, should we be surprised that the latest trend among students going to the prom is doing fashion reveals of their outfits to the background “music” of Charlie Kirk getting shot? The prom is a celebratory event, after all, so why not celebrate other things you like?

Turning Point USA condemns in the strongest terms the TikTok audio trend that uses or references the assassination of our founder, Charlie Kirk, for entertainment.
Charlie Kirk was the victim of a real act of political violence. Turning that into viral content is grotesque and dehumanizing. There is nothing harmless, funny, or acceptable about it. It reflects a culture that trivializes violence and reduces real human loss to a punchline.
This has no place on TikTok. Or anywhere. This audio needs to be removed.
TikTok is taking down the videos after TPUSA alerted them to the videos, and they should have. Not only are they disgusting, but they are also celebrating the murder of an innocent man.
This Charlie Kirk prom trend is genuinely disgusting.

Erika Kirk has been the focus of an intense hate campaign, and there really haven’t been many consequences for the adults who celebrated Kirk’s death. It sends a signal to kids when their teachers do videos about how great it is that Kirk was murdered, and when establishment figures are rallying around Hasan Piker, Jay Jones, and Graham Platner.
SICK
Michigan Democrat Mallory McMorrow compares the Trump administration to Nazi Germany:

Democrats are back to calling Trump a Nazi, days after the latest assassination attempt. Saturday Night Live is joking about it. Hasan Piker is out on the campaign trail, fresh off of excusing Luigi Mangione’s assassination of Brian Thompson, and every Democrat is rallying around Graham Platner, who celebrated Hamas terrorism.
So this is free speech 💯

Compared to that, what’s a little assassination joke or two for social media points by teenagers?
