THE US and Iran failed to agree to a peace deal after 21 hours of crunch talks, JD Vance has confirmed.
The vice president blamed Iranian negotiators as he accused them of choosing “not to accept our terms”.

Vance – who led the US delegation – added: “So we go back to the United States, having not come to an agreement.”
The main sticking point during the lengthy talks came due to Iran’s refusal to halt their nuclear ambitions, the US said.
Vance told reporters as he boarded Air Force Two to leave Islamabad: “Do we see a fundamental commitment of will for the Iranians not to develop a nuclear weapon… for the long term?
“We haven’t seen that yet.”
American negotiators insisted they were flexible and accommodating across the peace attempts.
There remains slim hope of the fragile ceasefire currently in place extending.
Vance concluded: “We leave here with a very simple proposal; a method of understanding that is our final and best offer.
“We’ll see if the Iranians accept it.”
Iranian negotiators left Pakistan shortly after Vance announced the failed talks.
The regime blamed the US for collapsing negotiations.Fars News Agency quoted one source as saying: “The Americans demanded through negotiations everything they could not obtain through war.”
They added that the main disagreements came over nuclear technology and the Strait of Hormuz.
A source close to the negotiators believed”the American team was looking for an excuse to leave the negotiating table”.
