Every year the who’s who of Hollywood and high fashion flock to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City to attend the exclusive Met Gala.
Without fail, the premier fundraising benefit dominates headlines in the first week of May as relationships are debuted and fashion history is made.
But this year promises to be extra special as the ‘Beyoncé effect’ kicks into gear, with the Cowboy Carter singer making her return as co-chair for the first time in 10 years.
Now, a professional astrologer from Psychic World has shared her nine predictions for the event, which has a ‘Fashion Is Art’ theme this year.
Antonella tells Daily Mail this year could very well see a packed-out, star-studded guest list, with celebrity relationships expected to be the talk of the town.
She predicts at least three couples will walk the Met Gala red carpet for the first time together, and says all eyes will be on Zendaya‘s ring finger.

Despite being linked together since September 2023, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet only made their red carpet debut in May 2025.
The pair stepped out at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome, Italy.
Antonella predicts we will see the pair make their first Met Gala appearance together on the 2026 red carpet.
‘They’ve kept their appearances rare and intentional, so the Met Gala would be the ideal place for them to step out together again,’ she says.
‘Especially with a theme that invites dramatic, fashion-forward moments. Although I think they will keep their outfits relatively simple.’
Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton

The pair appear to have taken their relationship somewhat more public by being spotted at the Super Bowl earlier in the year and then most recently at Coachella.
However, the belief is that Lewis and Kim are still taking things slow.
‘Lewis will have just raced in Miami the night before,’ Antonella says.
‘So, he’ll arrive in New York low-key, a little tired, and very deliberately avoiding turning this into a “couple debut” moment.
‘Expect separate arrivals, separate interviews, and very controlled optics.
‘They’ll absolutely cross paths inside the event, but the real headline will be that they don’t pose together. That message is: they’re being seen, but on their own terms.’
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Despite confirming their romance in September 2023, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have rarely had the opportunity to walk a red carpet together.
Antonella thinks Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce (pictured) will also walk the red carpet together in ‘a huge power couple moment’ wearing ‘subtly coordinated Gucci looks’.
However, with their wedding rumoured to be on June 13 following their engagement in August 2025, Antonella believes they may get their red carpet moment next month.
‘Taylor hasn’t made a Met Gala appearance in a decade,’ she says.
‘[Her last appearance was] that iconic cut-out metallic dress and bleached hair in 2016, where she met her now-exes, Joe Alwyn and Tom Hiddleston.
‘I think we’ll see a huge power couple moment on the carpet in subtly coordinated Gucci looks.
‘It will cause massive media buzz, with TikTok edits of them on the carpet laughing together going viral.’
A New Relationship Is Hard-Launched
Celebrity couples have frequently hard-launched their relationships on the Met Gala steps – from Grimes and Elon Musk (2018) to Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner (2019).
Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan also made their debut at the event in 2024, though they split in December that same year.

Zendaya And Doja Cat Will Be Best Dressed
With the dress code being ‘Fashion Is Art’, tied to the Costume Institute’s Costume Art exhibition, designers and stylists are expected to go bold and boundary-pushing.
Antonella predicts we’ll see the likes of Zendaya and Doja Cat in dramatic, sculpture-like fashion that will be the most talked-about looks of the night.
‘Zendaya will take on a sculptural couture piece that will look less like a gown and more like a museum installation,’ she believes.

However, she believes Doja may go down a more theatrical route.

Wedding Ring Debut
Speaking of Euphoria star Zendaya, the internet has been anxiously waiting for a glimpse into her wedding with Tom Holland.
It has been widely speculated the pair quietly tied the knot earlier this year – which would follow their pattern of keeping their romantic announcements quiet.
Antonella predicts the Met Gala could be where fans finally get their answer.
‘Whether it’s just her engagement ring or paired with a wedding band, this detail could become one of the most talked-about moments of the night,’ she says.

High Art Fashion Goes Too Far
Met Gala fails are all too common, with celebs making the list of flops and memes every year – this year will be no exception.
With a theme that asks attendees to go bigger and bolder than ever, Antonella predicts someone may arrive in an actual frame.
Meanwhile, she believes another guest will lean so heavily into high art references that the meaning will be lost on most.
‘I think we’ll see someone take the concept quite literally and arrive at the carpet in a frame, needing handlers to help them up the Met stairs,’ she says.
‘In another breath, we’ll see someone lean so far into the high art reference, potentially based on an obscure 1700s sculpture or art movement.
‘It will land flat and unfortunately flop.’
Minimalism Will Win

No one demands ‘go big or go home’ from Met Gala attendees more than the internet, and we’ve seen plenty of looks torn apart when viewers feel the brief wasn’t met.
However, Antonella predicts a minimalist look could quietly win the night.
‘Amid all the art and sculptural chaos, one guest will opt for a perfectly tailored, deceptively simple black or white look,’ she says.
‘And whilst the internet will call it boring at first, by the next day it will be hailed as the chicest outfit of the night.’
The Devil Wears Prada
The build-up to the second instalment of The Devil Wears Prada has been buzzing since its 2024 announcement.
With the sequel’s release one week away, Antonella thinks we could see a subtle nod to the franchise.
‘Although for years Anna Wintour never truly acknowledged the film, it’s exciting to see her really lean into the sequel era,’ she says.
‘Especially appearing with Meryl Streep in Vogue this month.
‘I strongly predict we’ll see a red carpet moment featuring Anna, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt together, and the internet will lap it up.’
