A baby has reportedly died following an ‘incident’ at a home in south Manchester.
Emergency services including an air ambulance rushed to a property on Platt Lane in Fallowfield on Thursday morning.
A neighbour reported seeing a paramedic run out of the home with a baby. ‘It was terrifying. Very scary,’ the resident said.
A baby died at the scene, according to Manchester Evening News, though this is yet to be confirmed by police.
It is not yet known whether the death is being treated as suspicious.
Detectives and forensic investigators were seen at the property this afternoon as an investigation began.
One neighbour said: ‘There was a lot of police and two ambulances. I heard one of them mention a child.’
Another added: ‘I didn’t see or hear anything until a police officer knocked on my door.
‘There was one in uniform and one in plain clothes. The one in plain clothes just said there had been an incident and asked if I’d heard anything. He didn’t say any more.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Greater Manchester Police and the North West Ambulance Service.
