As utterly implausible as this sounds, ‘starseed’ is the term for those who say they have come from outer space – with the purpose of helping our planet heal.
On Instagram there are 2.4 million posts under #starseed and on TikTok 1.5 billion views of clips of those who believe they originate from another world. They cite feelings of a lack of belonging and a desire to search for a meaning in life.
Certainly, plenty of sensible people are convinced aliens are out there.
Take E.T. director Steven Spielberg, who admits he has a ‘strong suspicion’ we’re not alone. Pop star Robbie Williams claims he’s seen aliens ‘many times’, while former US President Barack Obama has conceded there are ‘objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are’.
Friends star Lisa Kudrow revealed last week that a book given to her by Jennifer Aniston called Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians, based on messages the author claims to have received from superintelligent extraterrestrials (the Pleiadians) living on a distant planet, was useful in her portrayal of Phoebe in the hit show.

Others go one giant leap further, claiming they are reincarnated from another planet.
Galactic astrology researcher Julia Balaz says she has helped 2,000 people regress under hypnosis – and a significant number of them remembered their past life… in another star system.
She recalls that the likes of lawyers and teachers have described environments with different gravity and atmospheric conditions, planets with three moons; some even described in minute detail their different bodies including long, slender three-fingered hands. They believe their souls originated from other planets, star systems or dimensions, incarnating on Earth in human form.
‘From 2019 I started to notice that more clients were regressing to places that were not on this planet,’ explains Julia. ‘Names came through, like the Arcturus, Pleiades, Sirius, Orion.’
When out of regression, Julia says they are usually ‘flabbergasted’ to acknowledge they were once aliens.
When Julia shared details of this phenomenon on her YouTube channel, she received thousands of comments from people feeling ‘seen’.
‘Most people look at the night sky and are usually (and have been since childhood) drawn to a particular star or star system,’ she says. ‘That’s because they’re looking at home – it’s far more common than people realise.’
By 2020, Julia was encountering starseeds every week.
‘I’d listen to what people had to say in regression and then check their astrology chart,’ she says. ‘The star system they described usually figured significantly in their astrological birth chart. It was either on their sun – the sun represents our identity – or one of the other personal planets (such as Mercury, which is about communication). It was validated over and over again.’
According to Julia, many describe arriving on Earth with a shared sense of purpose. Some referenced the period following the atomic bomb in 1945 as a turning point that prompted waves of souls to incarnate with the intention of supporting humanity’s movement towards greater harmony.

The concept of ‘starseeds’ is attributed to author Brad Steiger, who in 1976 wrote Gods of Aquarius about people who originate from other dimensions.
Like many other spiritual leaders, Julia believes we are on the brink of a ‘golden age’ of enlightenment, where we will start remembering our ‘galactic origins’.

Pleiadeans
The Pleiades are a cluster of stars 440 light years from Earth and are sometimes called the ‘Seven Sisters’. The constellation can typically be seen in the eastern sky from November to February.
Julia says: ‘Often the Pleiadeans are described as similar in appearance to Nordic humans, but slightly taller at around 6ft to 7ft. While Pleiadeans are gentle and loving, their energy is associated with fast, witty communication – the kind of people who might naturally watch videos at double speed.
‘They tend to be highly idealistic, seeing the best in others and offering second chances.
‘Their shadow side – the hidden parts of our psyche – means that they want everyone to be happy so much that sometimes they forget that there is divine timing for everyone; we cannot force people to heal or see our way of seeing the planet.’
Alpha Centauri
At 4.37 light years away, the Alpha Centauri triple star system is our closest neighbour. It can be seen in the southern sky in late spring and summer. Scientists believe one of the stars may have a ‘habitable zone’.

Julia says: ‘People with Alpha Centauri star prominent in their birth chart tend to speak at a much slower pace.
‘Physically the race in their extra-terrestrial form is 7ft tall with darker hair and green or brown eyes. They are more robust and earthy in appearance. They’re very grounded, their role is to protect the truth and patiently wait for the right time to reveal what has been hidden.
‘They deeply care about being genuine and authentic, and they don’t seek approval.’
Orion
This constellation is 1,300 light years away and best seen in winter when the three bright stars of ‘Orion’s Belt’ – each equidistant to one another – and are easily spotted in the southern skies during the winter months.
Julia says: ‘Several alien races within Orion stars have been used to “polarity games” – or leadership wars – for so long that humans who feel connected to Orion stars probably one of the most comfortable with what’s happening right now on Earth.
‘They’re the survivors of the cosmos. It is believed that the film series Star Wars was a channelled story meant to bring on our consciousness and gently prompt us to recognise what can happen in our cosmos.
‘Orion starseeds are very resourceful and highly intelligent, highly skilful and swiftly navigating challenging situations.’
Arcturians
Arcturus is a giant bright orange star 37 light years away and is best seen from April to July. It is easily located by following the curve of the Big Dipper handle.
Julia says: ‘Physically this race is tall, slim with a blue-ish hue to their skin. They are highly intelligent, at ease with technology and have a very scientific focus in life.
‘They can comprehend complex systems and structures, and their role is to evolve our scientific community towards a more whole, holistic model. They are very graceful in their communication style – like a parent, they explain things simply and only explain when someone is ready to learn.’
Andromedans
The Andromeda Galaxy is our nearest major galaxy to our Milky Way at 2.5 million light years away. It’s best seen in autumn and identified as a faint visible smudge of light.
Andromedans tend to look like the Avatar movie characters.
Julia says: ‘They are typically 7ft to 8 ft tall, with pale blue skin in males. Females have golden skin and golden hair. People with Andromedan stars in their chart can navigate changes really well.
‘Their main motivation is a sense of freedom, so they will invent anything and everything that will support the pursuit of liberation – freedom, no limits.’
Sirians
Sirius is the brightest star in the sky, usually referred to as the ‘Dog star’ (it is in the constellation Canis Major or ‘Greater Dog’) and is visible to the naked eye in winter evenings low in the southern sky.
Julia says: ‘Sirian starseeds are often described as having striking, clear blue eyes and a calm, composed presence, with slightly elongated heads.
‘These are the ones who are very spiritually aligned. You’ll find them already immersed in the world of yoga, meditation, spiritual and esoteric healing practices.
‘They carry very strong soul lineage of holistic understanding of mind-body-soul connection, and they’re passionate about teaching it, learning it, sharing it.’
Lyrans
Lyra is a constellation located in the northern hemisphere – its brightest star is Vega – and typically seen in the early evening summer months in the eastern sky.
Julia says: ‘When I have regressed clients, they have described Lyrans who look like the Avatar movie characters.
‘We believe our most ancient grandparents came from this constellation. It is thought to be where our human DNA was originally seeded in our galaxy and spread across many star systems.
‘A very long time ago, they were forced to evacuate on large space “arks” and settled in other star systems, including Earth.
‘The humans with stars of Lyra in their chart have a wound to heal the trauma of being misplaced and to realise that home is wherever you are, wherever your heart is, and you recreate or re-manifest home wherever you are.’
