EIGHT new Aldi stores will be opening soon.
The £40 million investment will see areas currently without a budget-friendly supermarket better served

Part of a wider £370 million investment by the retailer, the discount supermarket chain is aiming to open 40 new stores across the UK.
The budget supermarket is set to open the stores in communities around the capital that currently do not benefit from having an Aldi store nearby.
Aldi is aiming to provide more budget-friendly shopping alternatives to areas where residents currently rely on pricier convenience stores or traditional full-price supermarkets.
The planned stores follow on from Aldi’s expansion last year, with the discounters opening new stores in Wimbledon, Fulham Broadway, Shoreditch, Caterham, Uxbridge, Old Kent Road and Kentish Town.
The expansion will bring low prices to families across London and also create numerous jobs across the capital.

Jonathan Neale, managing director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: “We know household budgets are still under pressure, and too many Londoners don’t have an Aldi within easy reach.”
“These new stores will bring our unbeatable value to more families while creating around 200 new jobs across the capital.”
The new Aldi stores will be found in:
- Hanworth, Twickenham Road
- Willesden, High Road
- Watford
- Marble Arch
- Hoxton
- Orpington West
- Epsom
- Stepney Green
Alongside the new openings, Aldi will also be renovating existing stores in Enfield and Kilburn.
It’s great news for customers looking to lower the price of their weekly shop, as Aldi was recently named the UK’s cheapest supermarket by Which? for the fifth year in a row.
