SIX teams are scheduled to play twice in Gameweek 32.
With point-scoring opportunities at a premium as the season draws to a close, any remaining double headers are extremely valuable.
GAMEWEEK 32 DOUBLE HEADERS
- BOURNEMOUTH v Newcastle (a) & Leeds (h)
- BRIGHTON v Spurs (a) & Chelsea (h)
- BURNLEY v Nott’m Forest (a) & Man City (h)
- CHELSEA v Man Utd (h) & Brighton (a)
- LEEDS v Wolves (h) & Bournemouth (a)
- MANCHESTER CITY v Arsenal (h) & Burnley (a)
The most engaged Dream Team managers will target these fixtures and early signs suggest Man City are the first port of call.
Rayan Cherki (£4.9m), Marc Guehi (£4.2m) and Antoine Semenyo (£4.7m) are among the most popular recruits this week.
Sunday’s potential title-decider is difficult to predict but the fact Pep Guardiola’s side will head to Turf Moor a few days later puts them firmly in the spotlight.
Brighton’s double would be viewed as a tough ask in previous seasons but is rather appealing at this moment in time.
Last weekend’s defeat to Sunderland meant Spurs dropped into the relegation zone — they haven’t won a league game since late December!
And it seems to be a great time to play Chelsea with the Blues currently 18th in the form table having taken just four points from their last six outings.
In contrast, the Seagulls are top of the form table with five wins in their last six.
Mats Wieffer (£3m) cashed in with a brace against Burnley last weekend for a 20-point return but Danny Welbeck (£3.6m), Diego Gomez (£2.8m), Ferdi Kadioglu (£4m), Yankuba Minteh (£3.2m) and Pascal Gross (£3.6m) are more consistent performers.
Bournemouth’s double is equally tempting.
Newcastle have slumped to 14th after four defeats in their last six while Leeds’ victory at Old Trafford was just their second away win of the campaign.
Adrien Truffert (£4.1m), Alex Scott (£3.8m), Evanilson (£3.6m), Djordje Petrovic (£3.3m) and Eli Junior Kroupi (£2.1m) are all potentially savvy short-term selections.
However, Dream Team bosses should be aware that Brighton, Bournemouth and Burnley will all blank in Gameweek 33 as their scheduled league fixtures have been brought forward to accommodate the FA Cup semi-finals.
This means Welbeck, Truffert and company would be one-week punts — fiddly but doable.
Chelsea and Leeds will double up in Gameweek 32 before meeting each other at Wembley in Gameweek 33.
As previously stated, Liam Rosenior’s men have looked increasingly clueless in recent weeks but gaffers should probably give due consideration to Cole Palmer (£5.6m), Joao Pedro (£4.9m) and, assuming he’s reinstated after his punishment, Enzo Fernandez (£4.5m).
As for the Whites, Noah Okafor (£3m) bagged a brace against Manchester United last time out while Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£3m) has impressed with 11 goals in all competitions this season.
Backing a Leeds asset would certainly be a bold move but some Dream Team bosses will see potential in Wolves’ visit to Elland Road this coming Saturday — Rob Edwards’ side crumbled against West Ham last Friday.
