President Trump extended the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon for three more weeks as the US attempts to continue peace talks with Iran.
Trump made the statement after he hosted an Oval Office meeting between ‘high ranking representatives’ of Israel and Lebanon.
‘The United States is going to work with Lebanon in order to help it protect itself from Hezbollah. The Ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended by THREE WEEKS,’ Trump posted on Truth Social.
Also at the meeting were Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, and Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa.
