A PASSENGER jumped overboard a cruise ship near Australia just hours after a woman from the same boat died on a snorkelling trip.
The man fell from the Carnival Splendor cruise ship around 30km north-east of Moreton Island, Queensland.

CCTV footage appeared to show the man climbed over the safety railing before jumping into the water, a spokesman said.
The ship was sailing from Moreton Island towards Sydney when the incident unfolded overnight.
A spokesman said: “All appropriate authorities have been alerted and Carnival will assist authorities in their investigation upon the ship’s return to Sydney.
“Carnival’s Care Team is supporting the guest’s family and our thoughts and prayers are with them and their loved one.”
It follows the death of another passenger aboard the ship who drowned whilst out snorkelling.
