CARL FROCH has doubled down on his willingness to fight John Fury.
John, the dad of British boxers Tommy and Tyson, went on the warpath looking for the former super-middleweight champion at a press conference earlier this month.
The 60-year-old sought to confront Froch over comments he’s made about him over the years.
Froch responded to John’s antics in a video on his YouTube channel, challenging him to settle their differences in a Misfits melee.
John accepted his offer to throw heavy leather, but countered with the undercard of son Tyson’s ring return against Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.
Froch is more than willing to come out of retirement to give ‘Big John’ the dust-up he seemingly so badly wants.
But he insists it WON’T be taking place on the Fury vs Makhmudov card for a variety of reasons.
During the latest episode of SunSport’s Split Decision, ‘The Cobra’ said: “Listen, I’m not gonna back down.
“If John Fury is serious about fighting, it’s not going to be on the undercard of Tottenham.
“It’s not going to be licensed or sanctioned by anybody.”

There’s a massive year of boxing ahead!
It’s shaping up to be a blockbuster year of action inside the boxing ring.

Four-time super-middleweight champ Froch reckons John is all bluff and bluster.
But he doesn’t plan on taking it easy on him if he dares step between the ropes to fight.
He continued: “If he’s serious, I’m not going to back down. That’s all I’m going to say for now.”
As of yet, nothing has come of the public back and forth between the pair.
Although Froch has hinted that there may be some negotiations on the horizon.
He said: “It’s not over yet, so watch this space.”
Should the unlikely grudge match come to fruition, it will see John return to the ring following a 31-YEAR layoff.
Froch, meanwhile, last took to the squared circle in May 2014 for a grudge match with George Groves – which he won via eighth-round knockout.
