NEWCASTLE striker Nick Woltemade delivered a glass-shattering singing performance on German TV.
The giant centre-forward, 24, was both off the pitch and off-pitch as he appeared on ‘Expert for Everything’ to fine tune his pre-match national anthem at this summer‘s World Cup.
Producers threw Woltemade in at the deep end, making him belt out Sia‘s gutsy ballad ‘Chandelier’ in front of esteemed vocal coach Norbert Meyn and host Klaas Heufer-Umlauf.
Meyn and the accompanying pianist could hardly contain their laughter as Woltemade and Heufer-Umlauf shrieked their way through the chorus.
Woltemade protested: “That’s difficult, isn’t it? It has absolutely nothing to do with my national anthem!”
The clip was viewed hundreds of thousands of times on social media, where some Newcastle fans twisted the knife.
Despite making a rapid start on Tyneside following a £69million summer move from Stuttgart, Woltemade’s form has nosedived with one goal in his last 25 games.
And a handful of Toon supporters suggested that his football is even worse than his dodgy singing.
One wrote: “I’d stick to the singing if I was him.”
Another posted: “Turns out he can sing better than he plays football.”

Others took aim at his pitchy performance instead.
An X user commented: “He’s high up the pitch.”
A second replied: “Sounds like he just got hit in the balls.”
And a third chimed in with: “Maybe this is the first time I’m disappointed something wasn’t AI.”
Germany star Woltemade closed the show with his version of the national anthem and admitted: “That was really fun.”
