CONOR BENN’s upcoming opponent has broken his silence on rumours he’s injured ahead of their Tottenham tussle.
The Destroyer will throw down with former super-lightweight champion Regis Prograis on Saturday night on the undercard of Tyson Fury‘s comeback clash with Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Rumours emerged late last month that the American had withdrawn from the fight, but they have proven to be false.
Former Benn promoter Eddie Hearn, however, stirred the pot last week by claiming Prograis is “badly injured.”
But during an appearance on the About That Action podcast, ‘Rougarou’ insisted: “Nothing is going on with me.
“I don’t even know where that came from.
“Maybe somebody out there is trying to stop the fight or whatever, and they are saying things like that.
“I’m good. I’m good to fight, for sure. I didn’t even address it because I don’t have to.
“Let people think what they want, maybe Conor can think that.
“Then his approach can be different if he thinks I’m hurt.
“I don’t feel like I need to address anything because they aren’t paying me extra for anything.
“No promotion, all I have to do is show up and fight.”
Benn’s clash with Prograis will be his first outing since his acrimonious departure from Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing in February.

The No.1-ranked WBC welterweight contender ditched his promoters of TEN YEARS to sign a one-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing, which is being run by UFC boss Dana White, worth over £11MILLION.
Benn’s Tottenham tussle with Prograis will be his third straight outing at the home of Prem strugglers Spurs.
He took part in back-to-back showdowns with Chris Eubank Jr at the state-of-the-art stadium, where he levelled their series at one win apiece with a lopsided points win last November.
