An article on December 16 about Huw Edwards forming a ‘close bond’ with Meinir Loader, a retired teacher, said that she had been ‘counselling’ him and that they had been seen in a car together outside Mr Edwards’s home. We have been contacted by Ms Loader who says these claims were untrue, which we accept, and that she considers the article a breach of her right to privacy. We apologise for any intrusion or distress caused.
