Arsenal bottles on sale outside Etihad Stadium in brutal gesture ahead of Man City title showdown

MANCHESTER City fans have arrived at the Etihad armed with Arsenal-branded bottles ahead of the top-of-the-table clash this afternoon.

The Gunners are set to visit their title-chasing rivals as they battle to take a HUGE step towards their first Premier League title in 22 years.

But in a bid to rattle supporters, City fans have placed Arsenal-branded bottles outside the stadium.

During City’s game at Stamford Bridge, one man went viral on social media after cameras caught him in the stands pretending to drink from a plastic bottle emblazoned with the Arsenal crest.

One fan said on X: “It’s appropriate because it’s true. We will be the biggest laughing stock today because of this stubborn manager.”

Another said: “Psychological war heats up ahead of the game.”

Someone else wrote: “The funny thing here is that Arsenal might win this match.”

Another quipped: “Mind games, we get them from our coach, Pep Guardiola.”

Ahead of the match, Arsenal sit SIX points clear at the top of the table and if they win today, they’ll be firmly on their way to the title.

But defeat would swing the balance towards City.

As Pep’s men have a game in hand, if they win today and both sides go on to take maximum points, the title race could come down to goal difference – or even a play-off.

Since losing to Manchester United in January, City have gone NINE league games unbeaten.

And they’ve won eight of their last ten games at the Etihad.

Last weekend, Mikel Arteta‘s men missed the chance to go 12 points clear at the top of the table after losing to Bournemouth.

The Gunners have finished runners-up in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons, two of those being to City.
