Aperol Spritz fans rejoice as legendary Italian brand unveils new cans perfect for park picnics and festivals

COCKTAIL lovers are in for a treat this summer as the world’s favourite orange tipple finally goes portable.

For the first time in its 107-year history, Aperol has launched a ready-to-drink can called Aperol Spritz TO GO, making it easier than ever to enjoy a taste of Italy on the move.

While the Aperol Spritz is the undisputed drink of the season, lugging glassware, sparkling wine and soda water isn’t always practical for a day out.

This new 5% ABV version brings the iconic Italian aperitivo to “on the go” occasions such as picnics, festivals and spontaneous social gatherings.

The 250ml cans are designed to be enjoyed chilled and straight from the can, delivering the signature bittersweet profile fans know and love.

Developed by the Campari Group, the recipe consists of the classic mix of Aperol, sparkling wine and soda, ensuring the “premium quality” of the bar-served version is maintained in a handy tin.

The stylish orange cans are hitting shelves now with a recommended retail price of just £3, rolling out across grocery and convenience stores throughout April and May.

In a nod to its long history, the new product features the original Barbieri brothers monogram, honouring the brand’s origins dating back to 1919.

Andrea Neri, Managing Director of House of Aperitifs at Campari Group, said: “Aperol Spritz has become a symbol of contemporary social style, and this new ready-to-drink format opens the door to new moments and places while staying true to the spirit that has defined Aperol for over a century.”

Whether you are heading to a rooftop gathering or a park hangout, the brand says it is now “further primed to win the first shared drink” of the day.
