RONNIE O’SULLIVAN rolled back the years with a jaw-dropping decider to sink Wu Yize and leave commentators utterly speechless.
The Rocket booked his spot in the World Open final after a nerve-shredding 6-5 semi-final win, producing a moment of pure magic when it mattered most.
With the match locked at 5-5, rising star Wu looked set to pull off a huge upset after knocking in a tidy 43 in the final frame.
But you don’t write off O’Sullivan.
The seven-time world champ stepped up and drilled in a sensational opening red to the yellow pocket, a shot so outrageous it stunned everyone watching.
One commentator gasped: “That was a remarkable red… how dare I doubt him?”
From there, it was vintage Rocket.
O’Sullivan seized control and rattled off a brilliant match-winning clearance of 89, leaving Wu helpless and the commentary box in awe.
They added: “Even by his standards, this is special. Wu Yize has thrown everything at him.”
The win sends O’Sullivan into his 66th ranking final, where he’ll face either Judd Trump or Thepchaiya Un-Nooh.

Victory on Sunday would see the snooker icon land a record-extending 42nd ranking title and his first since 2024.
And that’s not all.
O’Sullivan has already made history this week in China after smashing in an incredible 153 break the highest ever in professional snooker.
The Rocket pulled off the outrageous feat against Ryan Day, taking advantage of a free ball to go beyond the legendary 147 mark, something not seen since Jamie Burnett’s 148 back in 2004.
It’s been some comeback story too.
After slipping out of the world’s top 10, O’Sullivan has stormed through the draw, brushing aside Ross Muir, receiving a walkover against Ishpreet Singh Chadha, and thrashing Matthew Selt 5-0.
He then edged past former world champ Shaun Murphy before delivering his record-breaking display against Day.
Now, with his first World Open semi-final since 2010 behind him and that two-year wait for silverware nearly over the Rocket is firing again.
And when he’s playing like this it’s really hard to see if anyone can ever stop him.
