LOVE Island star Yasmin Pettet was forced to pay out more than £800 after being “scammed” during a “day from hell”.
The ITV2 personality, 25, told how she had been “really panicking” during the ordeal over the weekend, which saw her left without her essential items.
Yas explained in a new TikTok video how she had headed out for a massage but realised she had mistakenly left her phone and apartment keys inside her property.
Yet when she headed to the corner shop – and suspected staff were trying to “fob me off” – she was forced to seek help from the first number they gave her from their Google search.
Yas, who rose to fame on the ITV dating show last summer, told the clip: “Guys I’ve literally just had the day from hell and I’ve just been scammed out of £800.
“I just want people to comment if this has ever happened to them.
“Because I just want someone to make me feel better right now”.
She then told fans how when she contacted a locksmith – using a landline phone at the corner shop – he was quoting price options and keys.
Yas continued: “I can’t remember exactly but I think he was saying £200 and I was like £200 that’s fine.
“Whatever, I’m desperate at this point”.
She then told how when the job was complete, she had been charged a whopping £835 instead.
Speaking direct to camera, from back inside her home, Yas continued: “Like I know I got scammed but you know when you’re just standing there like a d**khead and I’m like there’s literally nothing I can do at this point.
“I can’t refuse to pay it because this guy has my address and I live by myself.
“Number two I just didn’t have any f**king options so I’ve had no choice but to pay it.
“And now it’s just like my soul is crying out I’m such a dumb b***h”.
Love Island winners – where they are now
EVERY year Love Island opens its doors to more sexy Islanders who are hoping for a holiday romance that could turn into more.
In the video caption, Yas again showed her dismay as she put: “I just got scammed £835 because I’m a dumb b***h”.
Fans were quick to offer sympathy and one put: “£800 is someone’s rent?!!! Like nah I would call police’.
A second posted: “This happened to me recently”.
A third wrote: “I’m so sorry as they know you feel desperate. Thanks for sharing as it is too easy to get scammed”.
Former Big Brother star Emily Hewertson then commented: “Exact same thing happened to me with that company – I was quoted £125 and charged triple !!! The worst as they don’t need even need to drill – they do it to overcharge you”.
