THEIR marriage has been controversial from day one, with Kanye West claiming Bianca Censori does nothing without his ‘approval’ as she parades beside him in X-rated outfits.
But when Kanye hit rock bottom last year, his wife was on the verge of divorcing him before an act of ‘extreme bravery’ brought them from the brink, says a close pal.
The model was “pushed to the limit” 12 months ago, following a slew of vile racist comments which horrified fans.
In a foul mouthed anti-Semitic rant, the 48-year-old declared he was a Nazi, leaving his reputation in tatters.
The outburst was so horrifying that distraught Bianca, 31, confided to friends that she could no longer cope with her husband’s alarming behaviour, and wanted a divorce – just three years after the pair tied the knot.
Now, however, the couple are gradually getting back on track thanks to a series of intense joint counselling sessions after Bianca laid down the law and issued an ultimatum.
They flew to an exclusive Spanish rehab clinic together, where Kanye, who has been battling severe bipolar disorder and a near nervous breakdown, vowed to change his ways to save their short union.
A close friend of the Australian architect and model has told The Sun that Kanye’s erratic behaviour and manic episodes took a heavy toll: “This time last year they were headed for divorce.
“In an act of extreme bravery, Bianca agreed to give her husband one more chance.
“His self-destructive behaviour, his manic mind packed with creative ideas, complicated thoughts and a unique outlook on the world have made it near impossible.
“But she has been the driving force for Kanye to seek help after meltdowns, and she wants to stick by him despite all the moments of stress, upset and near splits.
“Of course, family members are concerned, and worried that he could still ruin her life and wreck her career chances, but she has been inspired to make it work by a sense of partnership, pure friendship and passionate desire.
“She is stubborn and intent on standing her ground.”
Twelve months ago the rapper spent hours posting twisted messages online – bragging about about Bianca’s controversial infamous nude Grammys look, praising Hitler and calling on Donald Trump to free shamed music mogul Sean Combs from jail.
Kanye claimed he had ‘dominion’ over his wife after she shocked red carpet watchers at the 2025 awards, in a totally transparent dress. He wrote: “Every single b**** on the planet wish they had her bravery, body, platform and access to money and a husband that supported they personal expression.”
“SHE DEFINITELY WOULDNT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL,” he ranted in another post.
Now, says Bianca’s friend, Kanye is much calmer and the couple have weathered crisis talks to iron out their issues.
“Bianca is far more mentally strong than people imagine. Not only has she lived through some of Kanye’s darkest episodes, but she has dug her heels in when it comes to him seeking help for his mental problems.
“She felt really pushed to the limit, exhausted at having to contend with his outbursts and demands, and she was losing hope that things would ever stabilise.
“It wasn’t that she didn’t love Kanye, but Bianca felt that the joy that she once felt was missing from her life – and she was dealing with her own issues on top of his problems.
In April, Kanye released a track called BIANCA which suggested she had left him after “she tried to get me committed”.
It continues: “She’s having a panic attack and she is not liking the way that I tweeted. Until Bianca’s back I stay up all night I’m not going to sleep / I really don’t know where she’s at.”
“It looked like this was the end of the road for both of them, because Ye was clearly unable to provide the support she needed,” says the pal.
“Just at the point their relationship seemed at its lowest, Bianca stopped herself from walking away and decided that they should go to Europe together.”
Bianca demanded that the star join her at The Balance Rehab Clinic, a VIP exclusive wellness centre in Majorca, where she ordered a raft of services ranging from counselling to physical and mental health exams.
“The fact that Kanye joined her in Majorca was a huge deal for Bianca,” added our source.
“It gave her confidence in him standing by her needs, and gave them a chance to relax too while they were there.
“He enjoyed himself at first and then they both found time to talk over their issues – wants, needs, vulnerabilities and hopes for moving forward.
“From that they took part in joint counselling sessions.
“Bianca stepping back from LA, the noise and, of course, all that drama following her nude appearance at The Grammys red carpet, was a good thing.
“After some time together in Majorca, things began to change.
“Ye talked about creating and was writing music again. It was like a weight had been lifted from him.”
One last chance
Kanye has since also received a ‘stabilising course correction’ at a rehab based in Switzerland.
An old friend of Kanye’s has spoken to us too.
Music business mogul George Daniels confirmed: “His new wife was ready to get the hell away from him, really far, I heard.
“You can see it in his face, he’s cleaned up.
“But it’s been tough, it sucked for him. And he’s not as young as he was.
“Whether it’s his personality or mental illness, his actions and behaviour often drive those closest to him to despair and ultimately departure.
“Bianca is addicted to him, they push each other’s emotional buttons yet are consumed by a desire to be together.
“Kanye could be in serious trouble without her love and care.
“It may seem unconventional to many, but it is what both need to thrive.”
Daniels, 79, who has known Kanye since he was first starting out as a musician in Chicago, believes the superstar has been lost since his guiding force mum Donda passed away in 2007.
The former Black Panther raised her son alone when his father Ray walked out when their son was just three years old.
Daniels explained: “She was his anchor, she was his protector, she was his everything.
“Believe me, he would have never married Kim if Donda was still alive.
“I am glad he’s trying to repeal himself, because he has always had mental issues.
“I believe he is being genuine.”
Public apology
Daniels insists Kanye’s turbulent career can recover following last month’s public apology – when he took out a full page advert in the Wall Street Journal newspaper to make amends for his offensive remarks.
He said his hateful comments were made during the throes of his bipolar disorder and claimed to have sustained a brain injury during a 2002 car accident.
In a lengthy statement, Ye insisted: “I am not a Nazi or antisemite. I love Jewish people.”
He added: “Toward the end of my four-month-long manic episode, my medication was changed. In that shift, the antipsychotic drug took me into a really deep depressive episode.
“My wife recognized that and we sought out what’s been effective and stabilizing course correction in my regime from a rehab facility.
“You must understand bipolar is a disease. It’s one of the most lethal nonterminal illnesses.”
Speaking at the Apollo x Kwanza Jones Presents: Culture In Motion National Roadshow in LA, Daniels added: “I felt that the apology was genuine. He is bipolar, but he is going to be okay.
“He’s made his apology, give him a chance.
“I hope it works for him. And if he sticks to it, then I hope his music reflects it. I care for him.
“He is misunderstood, and he misunderstands himself.”
