Craig David’s attempt to save a flying fish ended in disaster.
The rapper, 44, is holidaying in the Maldives and uploaded a clip of himself trying to rescue the blue fish that had landed on the port and throw it back into the ocean.
However, the video ended up going viral online after footage showed just moments after Craig had thrown it into the water, it was eaten up by a bigger fish.
In the video, Craig said: ‘I’m just gonna grab you, here we go, [I’m] putting you back in, come on man, stay with me, stay with me.
‘Oh my gosh. That’s the full moon for you. Hope he’s still alive.’
Trying to give the fish some encouragement as it tried to swim, he urged: ‘Come on, come on, you’ve still got it inside of you, you’ve still got it.’
But then a bigger fish came up behind it and swallowed it whole. Stunned, Craig said: ‘Oh my god’, before adding: ‘Oh dear.’

Paying reference to his hit 7 Days, a fan joked: ‘Caught a fish on Monday, threw it back in on Tuesday.’
Others commented: ‘Can I get a rewind’ and ‘That’s why he jumped out of the water.’
‘It’s a fish eat fish world out there.’
Craig shot to fame with his debut studio album Born To Do It in 2000, which spawned hits including Fill Me In, 7 Days and Rewind.
The record went straight to No.1 in August that year, instantly changing Craig’s life forever.
Craig wrote his debut album in the bedroom of his childhood home – which he returned to earlier this year for a campaign with Shelter.
Prior to rocketing to fame in his early 20s, Craig lived on the Holyrood Estate near Southampton city centre.
Now, the chart-topping singer has an estimated net worth of £14.5million.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in November, Craig shared: ‘No one could have told me when I was a young kid growing up in my council flat with my mum, that 25 years later I’d have the career that spans this amount of time and that the songs would mean so much to people.’
