The newly-single star’s outing also came as she took a swipe at her ex-boyfriend JJ Slater with a pair of cryptic Instagram posts, where she declared she now wants to date a man with ‘masculine energy’.
Despite the recent attention around her look, Katie was in high spirits as she headed out in her casual look with a male pal.

On Sunday, Katie appeared to take a noticeable swipe at her ex JJ in two cryptic posts, when she laid out her hopes for a future partner.
First, she reposted a video that said: ‘One day you’re begging a man for the bare minimum, then suddenly you’re being spoiled by another man who wants nothing more than to worship you.’
The second then said: ‘When his masculine energy is so strong that you finally turn from an “independent boss girl” into a playful, carefree woman who says silly things, laughs loudly, wears beautiful outfits and feels completely at ease because he’s by your side.’
Over the second post, Katie added the word: ‘Dream.’
