BIRMINGHAM CITY are planning on making Vicarage Road a home from home – by putting up reminders of St Andrew’s.
Chris Davies’ club want their fortunes on the road to mirror their stunning form on home turf.

And so Birmingham have taken photographs and signage with them that they will use to adorn the away dressing-room at Watford in a bid to bring about a change in fortune.
The practice started a few weeks ago and is understood to the be the brainchild of the club’s performance psychologist.
However, so far there has been no uptick – in fact, if anything, results have tailed off with the latest being a limp 3-0 defeat at Bramall Lane against Sheffield United.
This is in sharp contrast to the return in B9 where Davies has only tasted defeat once in the league after being installed as the club’s manager in the summer of 2024.
Since then, only Hull City have taken a full points haul from St Andrew’s – Brum losing just once in 37 league outings.
However, it’s been a different story on the road.
The ambitious Second City club has won twice this season – at Blackburn Rovers and Preston – but only Portsmouth and Sheffield Wednesday have picked up fewer points on their travels.
Birmingham are playing catch-up off the field and are investing heavily in the club’s infrastructure.

That includes a chief-of-staff position and the signage is supposed to act as a psychological boost.
However, Birmingham will have to operate without Davies operating in the dug-out as he is serving an automatic one-match ban for being sent to the stands during the 1-1 draw against Southampton.
They are also without skipper Christoph Klarer who is serving the second of his three-match suspension following his dismissal against Derby County.
Midfielder Tommy Doyle is sitting out the last match of his ban too after being dismissed during the 3-0 defeat at Sheffield.
