A BODY has been found in the search for a missing 20-year-old man who vanished on Christmas Day.
The body was discovered in the Holker Street area of Barrow, shortly before 1.45pm on Saturday, said Cumbria Police.
While formal identification has yet to take place, cops say the family of 20-year-old Oliver Davey, who was reported missing from Barrow on Christmas Day, have been informed.
A spokesperson for Cumbria police said: “A man’s body has been found in Barrow.
“The body was found earlier this afternoon (December 28) in the Holker Street area shortly before 1.45pm.
“The family of Oliver Davey, who was reported missing, have been informed.”
Cumbria Police previously said Oliver was last seen wearing a royal blue North Face fleece, black LUKE jogging bottoms, a black Armani t-shirt and black NIKE 95.
The 20-year-old was described as 6ft 3ins tall, of slim build and with dark brown hair.
