Posting on social media, the content creator who uploads videos under the username ‘Resell Republic’ got candid on how to be an Amazon FBA seller.

This money-smart customer explained that he sells products from the high street on Amazon FBA – which involves buying a cheap product and selling it on Amazon, making profit in the process, also known as retail arbitrage.

Opening up about his savvy side hustle, he filmed himself walking into a Tk Maxx store, which he described as “a gold mine” during the festive season

He said: “Here’s how I make thousands of pounds a month, just by walking round a few shops – so stop being lazy, stop working for minimum wage and watch this.”

Reseller who makes thousands every year reveals the best brands to cash in on

KERCHING!

I’ve cashed in £159k on Vinted – here’s the most profitable things to sell

The reseller headed straight to the toy section as he added: “Now, we’re heading up to Christmas so toys are going to be selling really well.”

First things first, the bargain hunter picked up two Super Mario Bros Luigi Action Figures.

Next, he used a scanner app on his phone to identify how much the toys would sell for on Amazon, as well as how much profit he would receive in the process.

He acknowledged: “Give this one a scan, as you can see, it’s costing us £8.99 but it’s selling for £22 on Amazon, meaning after all the fees, we’re going to make £5.25 per unit.”

Following this, he then picked up a Playmobil set which had been reduced to £7.

He recognised that it was reselling for £23.75 on Amazon, meaning he would make a profit of £8.66.

As well as this, seconds later he spotted another Playmobil set which was in the sale.

He shared: “Reduced to £4.90, going for £15 on Amazon, so not the greatest, but we’re still gonna make £3.36 after all the shipping and the fees so this is pure profit.”

It’s just selfishness

As he headed to the till and paid for his items, which would get him a total profit of £22.52, he shared what happens next.

“All I’ve gotta do now is pay for them, send the in the next box to the Amazon warehouse and as soon as they sell, Amazon will package them up and send them to the customer, so no, I don’t have to go to the post office every time something sells, Amazon deals with it all,” the reseller gushed.

Social media users react

The reseller’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @resellrepublic_, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 295,300 views.

But social media users weren’t totally convinced by the man’s actions and some even branded him “selfish” for making profit when others can’t afford to buy toys in the first place.

One person said: “So basically you take the items and charge people ⅔ times more when you could’ve just left them for parents/people with not much money? It’s just selfishness.”

What is retail arbitrage and how does it work?

Retail arbitrage just means reselling a product on for profit.

It is completely legal in the UK, as, once you own an item, you have the right to resell it.

Using an app called BuyBotGo, resellers scan items they find in the supermarket, and the app tells them how much the products are selling for on Amazon, and how many times they have been sold in the past month.

The reseller will make a profit on the items by reselling them using Amazon FBA.

Amazon FBA is a service that online sellers can use, where Amazon takes care of the storing, packing and shipping of your products.

So all the reseller has to do is send the products off to Amazon and wait for the money to roll in.

To this, the reseller replied and snapped: “Tell them to get their money up. I ain’t a charity mate.”

Another added: “Can’t be that easy mate.”

In response, the reseller claimed: “It literally is.”

Meanwhile, a third asked: “But do they sell? Or are you sitting on them for ages?”

To this, the content creator clapped back and confirmed: “All sold. I don’t post things until they’ve sold already.”
