BARCELONA legends Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez could reunite in the near future for a new project.
The Spaniards are reportedly wanted by the Moroccan national team, but for different roles.
Marca reports that Iniesta, 41, is wanted as a potential sporting director.
Meanwhile, Xavi, 46, has been tipped to become the next manager of the Atlas Lions.
Morocco wanted the former Barcelona boss to take charge ahead of the World Cup this summer, but he was reluctant to make the switch mid-season.
Mohamed Ouahbi, who had been coaching the under-23s, took the job instead, with his appointment confirmed on Thursday.
However, it is believed that he could step down after the World Cup to make way for Xavi.
The managerial change comes following the departure of Walid Regragui, who resigned earlier this week.
Regragui led the nation to a fourth-place finish at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and a second-place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
Should he take over at the end of the year, Xavi will have plenty of time to prepare for the next major tournament.

The ex-midfielder is yet to manage a national team but has won several major trophies – including the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup – at club level.
Meanwhile, since retiring in 2024, Iniesta has focused on his sports and entertainment company, NSN (Never Say Never).
He was on the verge of signing a deal to become the new sporting director of Morocco recently but a late disagreement stalled the process, with talks still ongoing.
The Moroccan Football Federation allegedly believes the introduction of the two Barcelona legends would help take the national team to the next level.
Former Tottenham assistant Joao Sacramento joined the coaching staff this week.
He will be alongside Ouahbi when the Atlas Lions head to the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer.
Xavi and Iniesta have won four Champions League titles, eight La Liga titles and the World Cup together.
