Not looking the Real Deal
Mike De Decker had a frustrating evening in Amsterdam.
That said, he managed to grind out a 6-3 victory over Gabriel Clemens which will take the edge off somewhat.
De Decker will unwind, refocus and get back on that practice board to make sure he brings a different game for this evening’s match.

Bringing The Heat to Amsterdam
Despite being a long way from home, the Dutch fans seem to have taken him in as one of their own.
Even his walk on song is very popular among football fans following the orange army.
He made light work of Joe Cullen in a 6-1 demolition but it was not all as easy as the scoreline suggests.
Damon Heta was clinical with his finishing and that was the difference between the two players.
Grabbing that first break of throw allowed him to ho up a gear and take the match away from Cullen.

Eagle has his wings clipped
Krzysztof Ratajski, the Polish Eagle, had his chances to make this a very different evening in Amsterdam.
However, too many missed doubles cost him dearly.
Josh Rock was far from his best but ground out a 6-3 victory which, in all fairness, could have been a lot more comfortable.

Doets there it is
Kevin Doets beat fellow Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena in a match littered with poor finishing.
After only four legs, we had seen 24 missed attempts at doubles.
Doets was in contol at 5-3 but Wattimena found a way back to take the match to a deciding leg.
It was Wattimena who dominated that leg and should have won it but missed a further four match darts.
He had handed the match on a plate to Doets and he took full advantage as he took out double 15 to set up a match against Luke Humphries or James Wade.
