The crowd at Cannes Film Festival was left stunned after Jeff Bezos and his wife-to-be, Lauren Sanchez walked the red carpet on Thursday.
But it appears all was not as it seemed.
While all of the major photo agencies, including Getty, Splash and Shutterstock labeled photos of the couple as the Amazon founder and his future bride, it appears they got it wrong.
The glamorous duo did bare a striking resemblance to the A-listers – with the help of dark sunglasses to hide their faces – they were seemingly imposters.
As for the unidentified woman, the ‘Amazon dupe’ wore a black strapless gown with silver embellishments, which was a far cry from the plunging dresses Lauren has become infamous for over the years.
The Bezos imitator opted for dark sunnies of his own along with a dapper tuxedo as he hit the red carpet.
While it might not actually be one of the most famous couples in the world on the Dossier 137 red carpet, Bezos and his loved-up fiancée are appearing at Cannes this year.
The TV host, 55, will be honored by Eva Longoria at the annual Global Gift Foundation charity gala.

Lauren is receiving the Global Gift Women Empowerment Award for her commitment to climate justice with the Bezos Earth Fund and social justice with This Is About Humanity.
The organization is dedicated to reuniting families separated at the United States and Mexico border.
The honorees are ‘special individuals [who] use their social and economic status to carry out humanitarian work, achieving big and small changes, that create a great impact in the world.’
This isn’t the first time Lauren has visited Cannes and experienced a major life moment.
In 2023, Lauren and Bezos celebrated their engagement in the middle of the A-list festival aboard his $500m superyacht.
They then made their first post-engagement public appearance at the Cap du Cap-Eden-Roc hotel, where Lauren was seen with her diamond engagement ring, which is thought to be around 20 carats.
Lauren has been busy – just last month, she went on the controversial Blue Origin space mission alongside Katy Perry and Gayle King, which was fittingly founded by Bezos.
Now, she and Bezos are preparing up for their star-studded June wedding that will reportedly include Kim Kardashian, Ivanka Trump, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, and Leonardo DiCaprio on the guest list.

The 78th Cannes Film Festival has implemented new nudity rules, devised for ‘the sake of decency.’
According to organizers, the austere move is an attempt to the stifle the celebrity trend for ‘naked dresses’ on the red carpet.
A Cannes festival document reads: ‘For decency reasons, nudity is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as any other area of the festival.’
‘The festival welcoming teams will be obligated to prohibit red carpet access to anyone not respecting these rules.’
