A WOMAN who cut down yellow ribbons for Israeli hostages has been questioned by police.
Cops are probing criminal damage, following the 36-year-old’s attempt to remove the London memorial.

The ribbons had been displayed on railings in Muswell Hill, Haringey, on the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks.
They served to represent solidarity with the Israeli hostages held by Hamas.
The Metropolitan Police are now questioning the woman after a video circulated of her cutting the ribbons online.
The Met Police said a 36-year-old woman voluntarily attended a police station on Tuesday and was interviewed under caution.
The incident is being treated as racially aggravated criminal damage.
Ben Paul, who originally put the ribbons up, told the BBC that their removal was “morally repugnant.”
When asked why she chose to cut the ribbons from the fence on Fortis Green Road, the woman insisted she was committing no crime.
In response to being described as “disgusting” she replied: “I think condoning genocide is disgusting,” reports the BBC.
In the video, the vandal responded to outcry from onlookers by saying: “I’m not committing a crime.
“If I am, then call the police.”
One onlooker can be heard saying: “You’re disgusting” to which the woman responds: “I think condoning a genocide is disgusting”.
Cops were made aware of the incident after footage showed the woman taking down the ribbons on Monday afternoon at approximately 4:25pm.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said on Tuesday that officers were carrying out “reassurance patrols” in the Muswell Hill area.
The ribbons have also since been replaced.
It is believed that 48 Israeli hostages currently remain in Gaza, 20 of whom are thought to be alive.
