COPS are urgently hunting for a couple after a woman was sexually assaulted in a park.

The alleged attack took place in Queensway Park in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, on Tuesday night between 9pm and 10pm.

A woman walking near the underpass was reportedly approached by another female who “became fixated on her appearance” before touching her inappropriately, said Northamptonshire Police.

Cops described the offender as a white woman, around 5ft 3in, of medium build, with messy dark brown hair and blue eyes with dark circles.

The victim’s boyfriend then came over, according to cops.

Northants Police said the suspect reportedly shook his hand, then also touched him inappropriately before running off.

The woman accused of the sexual assault is said to have spoken with a strong Eastern European accent.

She was wearing a large black coat, a pink floral pyjama top, dark baggy bottoms, and was carrying a black bag with a white logo.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, who may have been approached by a female in the park in a similar manner, or who may be to help identify the offender.

Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
