Woman ‘sexually assaulted’ on board train to major UK airport as cops release CCTV in hunt for man

COPS have launched a manhunt after a woman was sexually assaulted on a train to a major UK airport.

The shocking attack happened on board a train from Rhyl, north Wales, to Manchester Airport last month, police said.

British Transport Police revealed the sexual assault occurred on Saturday, October 11.

At around 1.45pm, a man proceeded to stare at a woman on board the train.

He approached the woman as she went to leave the service at Manchester Piccadilly before sexually assaulting her.

The man left the train at Manchester Oxford Road.

CCTV images in connection to the attack have now been released by the police.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “Detectives believe the man in these CCTV images may have information that could help with their investigation.

“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2500126159.

“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
