A WOMAN who was killed in an Asda car park has been pictured as her grieving family hail her as a “beautiful soul.”
Margaret Critchon, 78, was walking back to her car when she was struck by a van in the car park of an Asda in Oldham, Greater Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police rushed to the scene of the collision after receiving reports Margaret was struck by a Peugeot.
Sadly, the 78-year-old suffered significant injuries in the collision on December 18 and died in hospital.
An inquest into the death has now been opened and adjourned by a coroner.
Margaret was a retired former midwifery tutor at the University of Manchester.
Her grieving family released a photograph and a tribute after a coroner heard brief details surrounding the tragedy.
In a statement, her family said: “In loving memory of Margaret Crichton (Mac).
“A beautiful soul taken from us too soon, dear sister, friend, aunt and great aunt.
“Sadly missed by all who knew her.”
The inquest was opened today at Rochdale Coroners’ Court and heard Margaret was born in Wallsend, Northumberland and lived in Shaw, Oldham.
Catherine McKenna, area coroner for Greater Manchester North, heard Ms Crichton’s death was verified on December 19.
The court was told CPR was performed on Margaret after the horrific collision and she was then rushed to Salford Royal Hospital.
Tragically she later passed away after suffering injuries said to have been “significant”, the inquest heard.
A police investigation into the death remains ongoing and the coroner adjourned the proceedings to resume at a later date.
The driver of the Peugeot involved in the collision, a 35-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
Following the incident, multiple police vehicles and ambulances were seen on the car park.
A large section of it was taped off while emergency services responded.
The force say the fatal collision happened at around 6.50pm.
Anyone with information about the fatal incident is asked to get in touch with the police.
