
COPS have arrested a woman on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead this morning.
Officers raced to the scene in Church Road in Stockton at around 7am after paramedics alerted them.


A 57-year-old woman was arrested and remains in police custody.
The victim’s family has been contacted by police and is being supported by specially trained officers.
The scene was cordoned off and a blue tent was put up of forensics combed the area for evidence.
The sectioned off area spanned across a number of businesses including the InPost lockers, a hair salon and newsagents.
Detective Chief Inspector Daryll Tomlinson, from Cleveland Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET), is calling for information.
He said: “The investigation is in its early stages, and we currently have a scene in place while extensive enquiries are underway.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist us, to please get in touch.
“This also applies to anyone who may have dash cam or doorbell footage that could aid the investigation.
“There will be a visible policing presence in the area, and I’d encourage anyone who is concerned or holds information to please speak to them.”
