THE BBC are plotting to unleash a new method to crack down on TV licence fee dodgers.
A TV licence is a must for anyone who watches or records live TV on any channel or uses BBC iPlayer.

But now, the national broadcaster is planning on using iPlayer to catch out those dodging the licence fee.
Up to 40 million iPlayer accounts will be linked to the status of their TV licence at their address under new plans.
Using data provided when signing up to iPlayer, such as email address, date of birth and postcode, the BBC hopes to locate those who are evading the fee.
Watching without a licence can lead to a visit from a TV licensing officer and a potential fine of up to £1,000 with nearly two million visits between 2023 and 2024.
But a recent report recently said the visits were becoming “less effective” as it had become harder to make households answer their door to inspectors.
