MANCHESTER UNITED’s Monday Night Football clash against Everton began with some crazy scenes.
Toffees midfielder Idrissa Gueye was shown a straight red card after slapping team-mate Michael Keane.

Why was Everton star Idrissa Gueye sent off vs Man Utd?
Gueye and Keane were locked in a furious exchange after Bruno Fernandes flashed Man Utd’s first effort of the game wide of the post.
The two Everton team-mates were visibly berating each other before the pair went head-to-head and Gueye slapped the defender.
Referee Tony Harrington immediately brandished his red card, sending the 36-year-old off.
At this point, Gueye appeared to get even angrier, needing to be held back by goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
The Premier League Match Centre later confirmed on X that the midfielder was sent off for a “clear strike to the face of Keane”.
The statement in full read: “The referee’s call of red card to Gueye for violent conduct was checked and confirmed by VAR – with the action deemed to be a clear strike to the face of Keane.”
