LUKE LITTLER has risked the wrath of the World Darts Championship crowd due to his comments after a fiery encounter against Rob Cross.
The reigning world champion was booed by a section of German supporters in his 4-2 last-16 win.

Littler then took aim at the crowd in his post-match interview, which could spark more booing in the future and it certainly added fuel to the fire amid his ongoing feud with German fans.
Why was Luke Littler booed at the World Darts Championship?
Littler often celebrated and made gestures at a section of the fans during his win over Cross.
Many thought Voltage would be beaten easily, but he put up a good fight and the crowd got behind Cross as he was the underdog.
Though the majority of the booing towards Littler came from a German section of Ally Pally, with Littler unaware of their nationality mid-game.
Asked about the atmosphere on stage, Littler shockingly fired back: “I’m not bothered. Really not bothered.
“Can I say one thing? You guys pay for tickets and you pay for my prize money. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Come on!”
Littler admitted in his post-match press conference after: “It was a tough challenge. A tough test.
“The first set everyone got on myself a little bit. I gave it to the crowd.
“Throughout the game, they remember that. I had to get on with the job.
“I just had to let all my emotions out. I was up for it.
“I have no idea who they were. People in the stands, a few tables at the front. I just had to get on with it.
He later added: “Nobody wanted me to win but yet again, I proved them wrong.”
Littler’s mum also went on a surprising rant online about the crowd.
Why is Luke Littler not liked by German fans?
Darts is hugely popular in Germany, though they do not love Littler.
It began in April 2025 when The Nuke was targeted by jeers and then again during the Premier League night in Berlin.
Things got worse at the World Cup in Germany as Littler teamed up with Luke Humphries to represent England.
But the favourites were beaten by the host nation and the crowd relentlessly taunted them throughout the match.
It led to Littler admitting he “lost his head” in the game and he even briefly avoided events in Germany in the following months.
