EBERECHI EZE punished Thomas Frank for his cocky pre-match comment by netting in Sunday’s North London Derby.
Tottenham came close to signing Eze in the summer transfer window before local rivals Arsenal beat them to the punch.
When asked whether he was hoping to snap up the former Crystal Palace playmaker, Spurs boss Frank said: “Who’s Eze?”
The 27-year-old responded by plundering a sweet strike into the back of Guglielmo Vicario’s net to make it 2-0 just before half-time.
