White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood joins a HUGE list of A-listers embracing their gloriously unique quirks after SNL mocked her teeth – but can YOU guess who is who?

White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood by cruelly ridiculed by SNL last week for her teeth, despite her joining a huge list of  A-list stars celebrating their gloriously unique quirks.

While many celebrities opt for Botox, cosmetic dentistry and hair transplants, others are just as comfortable embracing what they were born with – and sometimes becoming famous for their differences.

The talented 31-year-old has been open about taking pride in her teeth imperfections after being bullied about them growing up.

Aimee told The Jonathan Ross Show: ‘I can’t believe the impact my teeth are having. The Americans can’t believe it. They’re being lovely [and there’s] videos of orthodontists coming up analysing my teeth. It’s a real full circle moment.’

She joins other stars who have ditched surgery has preserved some of the most instantly recognisable faces in show business and launched many more to stardom.

1. Madonna

It’s difficult to imagine the Queen of Pop, 66, without the gap between her front teeth which has become the centrepiece of her iconic look.

Amid her rise to fame Madonna popularised the gap as she paved the way for the likes of Cynthia Erivo, 38, and Georgia May Jagger, 33, to embrace their own similarly unique looks.

As reported by Billboard: ‘Having gap teeth isn’t a new concept at all, with Madonna and Elton John being the firsts in the music industry to really embrace theirs’. 

Madonna has also embraced her gnashes and often sports a sparkling diamond grill, which she has been wearing as far back as 2002.  

She previously showed off the grill on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and  revealed that she commissioned the diamond-encrusted mouthpiece as a 64th birthday gift to herself.

She also addressed fan criticism by defending her choice to wear the elaborate ‘mouth jewellery.’ 

‘People have a problem with my grills, I don’t know why,’ she said.

‘I just like the way it looks — it’s mouth jewelry — and I have really ugly teeth.’

She also has a set of grills made from genuine gold and embellished with 24 diamonds, which she purchased in 2013.

2. Walton Goggins

Walton has been proudly displaying his receding hairline for millions of viewers as Rick Hatchett on The White Lotus. 

The actor, 53, began acting more than 30 years ago; but despite starring in a number of hits, it’s his role in The White Lotus opposite Aimee-Lou Wood that has put him on the map as a sex symbol.

But it’s not the age-gap relationship or the bloody finale that has got people talking. 

Instead it’s the actor’s jaw-length, swept back greying bob, made more impressive by the contrast to his large forehead. 

Instead of skimming over Walton’s almost-bare pate, the TV show makes sure to linger on his receding hairline and give it as much attention as if it were an arresting head of thick hair.

And Walton has seemingly never shied away from what has now become his trademark look, strutting down red carpets with his hair blowing in the wind.

And his follicular confidence has fans going wild.

Reddit threads have been dedicated to his thinning hair with one user writing he is ‘fascinated by Walton Goggins’ hair situation’.

The writer added that his hair was also falling out but he wasn’t sure how to rock the receding look with the same level of panache as the US actor. 

He confessed: ‘My hair loss is at a similar stage to his and I’m wondering how exactly he’s pulling off the look without giving insecure combover vibes. 

‘Is it just that his hair is receding very uniformly from the front to back, so he can brush it back without needing to cover up a bald spot? 

‘Is it a very specific kind of haircut, and does it only work if the hair behind your hairline is still thick?’.

3. Adam Driver 

While the nose job has long been a staple of celebrity tweakments, Star Wars star Adam, 41, has stuck to his sticking profile . 

The actor, who is also 6 foot 2, told the LA Times in 2023: ‘I look how I look. I can’t change that. So I guess it helped me’.

‘A hindrance in only breaking mirrors wherever I go and having a misshapen, outsize body that I can’t fit through doorways or most clothes or fit into most cars. So apart from that, it’s been good.

As well as telling The Guardian in 2015: ‘I have been told before that I have an unusual face. But my face is my face. I had a whole life before acting, over the years. Lots of things have been said about my face.’ 

Adam’s unique looks have also seen him featured as one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive for 2021.

4. Molly-Mae Hague

While Love Island star Molly Mae, 25, has not been shy about sharing her cometic procedures, she has left a small scar on her forehead untouched, admitting she loves the unique imperfection. 

The stunner previously told followers about the mark which she said came from a strawberry birth mark she had removed around the age of 12.

‘Over the years its colour faded but it only went away from surgery. No one can believe it when I show pics of it. I strangely loved it. I used to love that it was something no one else had and that it made me different!’ 

The influencer has been no stranger to cosmetic tweakments over the years and admitted she’d fallen into the ‘trap’ of becoming addicted to getting dermaplaning.

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that involves scraping off dead skin cells and peach fuzz with a scalpel to leave your face brighter and softer. 

She also famously got her lip and jaw filler dissolved and her composite bonding veneers removed and now says she’s ‘terrified of myself’ when she looks at past pictures. 

‘The other day I was actually having a moment of reflection on my filler journey and I realise I haven’t had filler now in coming up to five years, well over four years.

‘I haven’t had any filler put into my face which if you remember my filler debacle, my filler scandal it’s quite, not an achievement but it’s quite a journey to reflect on really. It’s been so long.’

5. Kate Winslet 

Oscar winner Kate, 49,  has shunned the idea of plastic surgery and has continued to off her gorgeous features in all their natural beauty.

The star has been famously anti-surgery for years, once declaring that ‘it goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up, and what I consider to be natural beauty.’ 

She told the The Telegraph in 2011: ‘I am an actress, I don’t want to freeze the expression of my face.’

In 2015, PEOPLE reported that she told a reporter who asked how she stayed youthful to ‘watch her forehead’ laughing: ‘See that movement? I’m very proud of that movement.’.

In a separate interview, she told the publication: ‘I have the kind of wrinkles that are here to stay now.

‘You know, not just the ones where you wake up in the morning and you go, “Oh, that will go away in two hours”  time. No, they’re there. That’s the way that it is.’

Kate has also claimed to ask movie poster designers to make her look less perfect, ‘I have wrinkles here [on her forehead], which are very evident,’ she told Harper’s Bazaar.

‘I will particularly say when I look at movie posters: “You guys have airbrushed my forehead. Please can you change it back?”

6. Barry Keoghan 

The Irish actor, 32, became a heartthrob after compelling displays in Saltburn and The Banshees Of Inisherin, as well as a high-profile relationship with singer Sabrina Carpenter.

But the star has had a tumultuous journey to the top and last year he posed for a striking cover shoot for Hunger magazine last year, with the publication stating that he wanted to ‘lay bare the scars that have shaped him – inside and out’.

Speaking after the photoshoot, Barry revealed the large scar across his left wrist as he revealed it felt like the ‘right time’ to show it.

The actor said it had left him feeling ’emotional’ as he explained: ‘I won’t go into how I got this scar, but I’ve got a scar that’s like a millimetre away from my main vein on my left arm.’ 

Discussing the scar, which is visible in the cover picture in which he wears a bracelet saying ‘Debbie’, he went on: ‘I waited to do this with [photographer Rankin] to show that. You know, it just felt right.’

Barry – whose mother Debbie died from a heroin overdose when he was 12 – added: ‘On one wrist you’ve got my mum’s name and then on the other wrist you’ve got this constant reminder, this scar.

‘[Rankin and I] both looked at each other and went, “Wow! That’s it.”‘

Barry also developed a scar that runs the whole length of his arm after he fell ill with a horrific flesh-eating bug which almost led to him having his arm amputated.

The actor was struck down with necrotising fasciitis, also known as the ‘flesh-eating disease’, which is a rare and life-threatening condition that can occur if a wound gets infected.

Before Barry started filming his 2022 film The Banshees of Inisherin, he was hospitalised with the illness. The original wound was caused when he was hit with a bottle in a pub.

7. Harry Styles 

Back in 2017 pop sensation after former One Direction star Harry, 31, happily confirmed he had four nipples as he proudly embraced his own unique quirk. 

During an Interview with US comedian Chelsea Handler she asked: ‘There is a rumour on the internet that you have four nipples,’ she bluntly asked. ‘Have you heard?’  

‘Correct,’ he retorted, without hesitation, before proceeding to show where all four of his nipples were located.

Oh, I hooked up with a guy who had that once. I didn’t know it was a thing,’ she quipped.

‘It’s a thing,’ Harry responded dryly, before proceeding to burst into laughter.

The hunk has gone on to prove the fact as he is often spotted shirtless while soaking up the sun and showing off his toned and tattooed physique. 

Meanwhile White Lotus star  Aimee  has been applauded by many around the world for showing off her teeth as she has reached new heights of fame with her fan-favourite role on the HBO series. 

In a recent interview with British GQ, Aimee explained that White Lotus creator Mike White had to ‘fight’ to cast her, which made her feel insecure.

She continued: ‘When someone (not a producer) told me Mike fought for me it was said in a nice way.

‘I just spiraled about it because of my own imposter syndrome. That was my point. Just really wanted to clear that up because HBO have been nothing but super supportive.

In the GQ article, Aimee dove into the insecurity, saying, ‘My little head goes: “HBO didn’t want me. And I know why HBO didn’t want me, it’s because I’m ugly.”‘

‘Mike had to say, “Please let me have the ugly girl!” That was the thing that was in my head,’ she continued.

Aimee has been praised online for leaving her buck teeth natural, instead of caving into the artificial beauty standards of Hollywood.
