THE Winter Olympics are BACK in 2026 – with eyes turning to Italy for the sporting event.
Milan and Cortina will play host to the iconic Games, with Milan’s iconic San Siro set to host the opening ceremony.

The games will see events such as Ice Hockey, Curling, Skeleton, Bobsleigh and Skiing take place.
In 2022, Great Britain only managed to take home two medals, after setting out a goal of winning 3-7 medals for the games, taking home a gold medal and a silver medal.
The US were far more successful than the Brits, winning 25 medals overall, including nine gold, nine silver and seven bronze medals.
SunSport can reveal when the Winter Olympics 2026 opening ceremony will take place.
