When does the January transfer window 2026 close?
The winter transfer window in Europe opened on Thursday, January 1 2026.
Clubs in England will be able to do business up until Monday, February 2, with the deadline set for 7pm GMT.
The winter window usually shuts on January 31, but this year, that day lands on a Saturday – meaning clubs have an extra two days to ensure that the final day of the window is on a weekday.
In the summer, the window reopens on Monday, June 15, for teams in England and Scotland.
