WETHERSPOON is making a huge change to 600 pubs tomorrow in a boost for drinkers.
The discount pub chain is slashing the price of pints to just 99p and meals to under £5.

The sale will run from Friday, January 2, until Thursday, January 15 in more than 600 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK.
But it will start from Saturday, January 3 in Scottish pubs.
Drinkers will be able to get their hands on a pint of Worthington’s beer for only 99p, while a 250ml glass of Coldwater Creek wine will be just £2.99.
Meanwhile, if you’re more of a spirit drinker then you will be able to get a Johnnie Walker Black Label or Tanqueray gin with a mixer for £1.99.

But don’t worry if you’re doing Dry January, as low and no-alcohol options are also included in the deal.
You will be able to get a Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers Zero, Kopparberg Alcohol Free, or Gordons 0.0 Pink Gin for £1.69.
Meanwhile, Beck’s Blue and San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa will be 99p each.
There are also savings to be had on food too, with meals starting from just £4.99.
You could get an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a Crunchy Chicken Burger served with chips or a side salad for £4.99 with a soft drink.
Or get an alcoholic drink with your meal for just £6.42.
A choice of six jacket potatoes, plus three new gourmet options will also be available.
A jacket potato with a choice of one filling (from tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, roasted vegetables) will set you back £4.99 including a soft drink and £6.52 for an alcoholic drink.
Or you can add an extra filling or side salad for 99p.
Meanwhile, the gourmet jacket potatoes are new to the menu and will cost £6.49 with a soft drink or £8.02 with an alcoholic one.
How can I save money at Wetherspoons?
PUB-GOERS love Wetherspoons for its competitive pricing and low-cost meals – but did you know there are more ways to save money?
Senior consumer reporter Olivia Marshall explains how.
Free refills – Buy a £1.50 tea, coffee or hot chocolate and you can get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day.
Check a map – Prices can vary from one location the next, even those close to each other.
So if you’re planning a pint at a Spoons, it’s worth popping into nearby pubs to see if you’re settling in at the cheapest.
Choose your day – Each night the pub chain runs certain food theme nights.
For instance, every Thursday night is curry club, where diners can get a main meal and a drink for a set price cheaper than usual.
Pick-up vouchers – Students can often pick up voucher books in
their local near universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled.
Get appy – The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food from your table – but you don’t need to be in the pub to use it.
Taking full advantage of this, cheeky customers have used social media to ask their friends and family to order them drinks. The app is free to download on the App Store or Google Play.
Check the date – Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.
It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.
As well as its 12-day Real Ale Festival every Autumn, Wetherspoons also holds a Spring Festival.
The Loaded Spud comes with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter and sour cream.
Meanwhile, the Mexican Spud, which is vegetarian, is loaded with chilli bean non-carne, guacamole, cheese, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies and coriander.
The Smoky Spud is loaded with pulled BBQ beef brisket, chipotle mayo, cheese and sliced chillies.
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin previously told The Sun: “The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes. We have included a large selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.
“I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers.”
It is not yet clear which pubs will be running the promotion.
Meanwhile, prices at other Wetherspoon pubs may vary.
If you want to head down to your nearest Wetherspoon tomorrow then most will be open at 8am and will close at their usual Friday time (often 1am).
The pubs will be serving food as usual after cutting food service on Christmas Day.
