West Ham to make monster £16MILLION loss on Niclas Fullkrug, 32, as AC Milan agree loan with permanent transfer option

AC MILAN have agreed a deal to sign West Ham flop Niclas Fullkrug.

The German striker is expected in Milan tomorrow to undergo a medical before joining on loan until the end of the season.

Fullkrug, 32, could join the Italian side on a permanent basis if they take up the £11.4million option included in the deal at the end of the campaign.

The former Borussia Dortmund man joined in a £27.5m deal last year but has never settled in the Premier League.

Poor form and injury have plagued his time at the London Stadium – scoring just three goals in 29 West Ham appearances.

Fullkrug’s most noteworthy moment in a Hammers shirt will forever be blasting his teammates as “S***” in a post-match interview last season.

Milan needed a striker following the decision for Santiago Gimenez, a former West Ham target, to undergo surgery.

Manager Max Allegri wants Fullkrug to be available for their visit to Cagliari on January 2.

West Ham, meanwhile, will now step up efforts to sign a striker of their own in January.

Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to add a striker with Premier League or Championship experience, though the market is limited.

A move for Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen is considered unlikely.

Fullkrug’s departure leaves Callum Wilson, who joined in the summer on a free transfer, as West Ham’s only senior striker.
