As I research and hunt down the best home and garden deals all year round, when Black Friday rolls around, I’m well-versed in what’s really a low price and what to steer clear of.
Amazon has hundreds of impressive savings on big brands like Ninja, Shark and Dyson and is always a place to start when comparing prices of items on your wishlist.
Amazon Black Friday household essential deals
Calgon 4-in-1 Washing Machine Cleaner and Water Softener Tablets, £23.33 £9.71
What’s the deal? Calgon 4-in-1 Washing Machine Cleaner & Water Softener Tablets (75 pack) are £9.71, down from £23.33. That’s the lowest it’s been since 2022.
Why it’s a great buy: We all know the jingle: “Washing machines last longer with Calgon!”
These tablets protect the drum and heating element from limescale, cut residue build-up and odours, and help detergent work better at lower temperatures.

What’s the deal? Looking for the versatility of a Dyson Airwrap but don’t fancy splashing hundreds of pounds? The Babyliss Air Styler has just plummeted to its lowest price ever, from £70 to £26.99.

Black Friday is still a key time to shop for beauty
Black Friday is still the key time to save on your wishlist items, says Sophie Bates, Fashion & Beauty eCommerce Writer.
It’s easy to get shopper fatigue when the sales are flooding in weeks ahead of the main event, but I pride myself on being able to track down fashion and beauty deals that are actually worth shopping.
I’ve already spotted some winners in the Amazon sale (Shark’s LED Mask and ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm are two standouts).
If you’re in the market for a new hair tool, you can save hundreds of pounds on Dyson and GHD options, discounted to their lowest-ever prices too.
Amazon Black Friday toy deals
LEGO Botanicals Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree, £54.99 £39.97
What’s the deal? £15.02 off this beautiful bonsai, which will look stunning on any mantelpiece. It’s not its lowest price ever, but it’s only a few pence off. It’s a great deal on a great gift idea.
Why we love it: The Botanicals range is a relatively new addition to the LEGO roster, having launched in 2021 — it’s been a huge success for the brand, and has been credited with introducing an entirely new demographic to the brand.
We’ve tried several of the Botanicals sets, and can testify that they’re a) a great way to unwind after a long day at work and b) a surprisingly chic addition to a bookshelf or coffee table.
