IT was meant to be a picturesque tour of Bruges.
But one tourist’s guide of the Belgian city came to a painful end after she accidentally stood up during a boat trip.
A video of the shocking moment was shared on TikTok, and left viewers horrified.
In the clip, one woman was seen moving from one side of the boat to the other, as the vessel approached a low bridge.
As she moved, another woman stood up to let her past, but because she was looking down, she didn’t notice the bridge.
Then, as the boat went under the bridge, the bottom of it smacked the standing woman on the head – causing her head to be flung backwards dramatically.
Other people on the boat reached out to try and help the woman, who had instinctively put her hands up to her head.
As the boat went through the tunnel, daylight could be seen on the other side, before the video cut out.
Despite the fact the clip didn’t show the result of the horrifying accident, it was clear that the woman would have been seriously injured.
People flooded the comments section of the TikTok video, which had been sound-tracked with the trending Jet2 sound, desperate to find out if the woman was okay following the bridge smash.
“I’m genuinely worried, is she alright?” one asked.
“Is she still with us?” another questioned.
“This isn’t funny – I hope she’s ok,” a third sighed.
“Why didn’t anyone warn her?” someone else wrote.
“Man, people seriously have zero sense of their surroundings nowadays!” another commented.
“I bet they said to ‘remain seated’ before they even left,” someone else speculated.
Why didn’t anyone warn her?

“The way I tried to warn her through the screen,” another admitted.
The person who posted the video – from September 2022 – on TikTok has yet to post an update on the woman’s wellbeing.
However, the clip has been watched a staggering 28 million times since it was posted on the social media site.
But the accident is so shocking that it’s even age restricted on TikTok.
