A MARRIED At First Sight Australia bride tonight stormed off the show in tears after being brutally rejected by her groom.
Viewers watched as Rachel Gilmore asked Steven Danyluk to kiss her on the latest episode – but it didn’t go well.
Tonight during Female Fantasies Week, Rachel opened herself up vulnerably to her groom and asked for a kiss.
She did it with giant cue cards, similar to that in Love Actually.
Rachel was stood with a blindfold on and holding card which read: “Will you kiss me now? In this moment, the kind of kiss that makes me feel something.”
Sadly Steven completely rejected her and said: “I can kiss you, Rachel. I can kiss you, but I’m not too sure if it’s going to make you feel something.”
A heartbroken Rachel then asked her groom: “I need to understand what you mean by that. I really, yeah, you need to help me understand what you mean by that.”
He then revealed: “I’m going to be really open to you with this.
“The way I stand in the relationship right now, we feel like roommates and I feel like it is friendly.
“For me to kiss you and make you feel something, I would need to feel that romantic connection. And unfortunately I haven’t felt that romantic connection as of yet.
“This is really hard for me to be saying this right now. For me to get intimate and to get that passion, I need that spark. I need that romantic connection. I need that flirtiness.”
Rachel then began to get emotional and said: “I actually don’t think you want to kiss me at all, Stephen.”
She then asked him: “Yes or no. Are you physically attracted to me?”
Steven then answered: “I need to feel the passion, the spark. I haven’t felt that spark yet, Rachel.”
But by this point Rachel had had enough, and snapped: “So I just keep doing this and wait for you to feel a spark? Yeah, sweet. Yeah, I think we need some space right now.
” I’m feeling really, really rejected over a kiss.”
Rachel then stormed out of the apartment and had to be comforted by a member of the MAFS production team.
She was then seen sobbing as she said: “I’m out on the ledge, I’m by myself.
“Just boot me off it at this point. I don’t deserve this.”
The couple have had a far from smooth journey on Married At First Sight so far.
Shortly after they got married, the pair were having a date in a vineyard on their honeymoon and got into an argument.
However, as they tried to get to know one another, things suddenly went from bad to worse for the newlyweds.
It came when Steven asked her what she likes to do for fun in her spare time and she told him she enjoys going to watch the football.
But he then responded: “Don’t take this the wrong way, it’s not something I see in females that often, especially football.
“So see how you’re being all ladylike now, and I’ll say it out loud,” before shouting like a hooligan to imitate football spectators.
“Do you turn into that?,” Steven asked as she set him straight and said: “That’s not what I’m like and I don’t want you to paint a picture of me.
“I’m sitting here telling you that’s not what I’m like so please accept that, I’m telling you how I am.”
As she began to get tearful, Steven said: “I’m sorry you feel that way but it is just bantering.
Rachel continued: “I’m telling you I’m not like that, that’s why I brought it up because it’s hurting my feelings.”
As she began crying and wiping away tears, he attempted to make things better.
Steven expressed: “The way I feel now is horrible, I’m a dork, I’m out there, I’m wild, I like to have a laugh, I like to joke.
This also wasn’t the first time the pair clashed since getting hitched.
Shortly after the wedding, Rachel told the cameras she was disappointed that her new husband hadn’t complimented her on her bridal look.
She later shared her frustrations with him as he apologised for the oversight and told how beautiful she looked in her dress.
Married At First Sight Australia airs from Monday to Thursday on E4
