Hall was commissioned by McIlroy himself to create the picture, which was then gifted to Augusta National by the Northern Irishman.

A further 300 smaller prints were also given to members of the famous golf club.

The artist is yet to put the piece on sale, but revealed that he will likely make individual prints available to purchase in the near future.

He also revealed on Reddit that he used a Pentel GraphGear mechanical pencil because regular pencils take too long to sharpen.

Hall wrote: “The original is smaller than 30×22 so each face is like the quarter of the size of a fingernail.

“It’s truly challenging to pack this much detail into such a small area.”

The artist also gave an insight into what his day-to-day life looked like when creating the masterpiece, adding: “I have a very disciplined schedule that I follow.

“Typically up and working by 5am and try to get a solid 5 hours to uninterrupted work in.

“Then, I’ll take a break for exercise (I’ll either go play basketball, go for a 5+ mile run, hit golf balls in the sim, etc).

“Then lunch and back to work for 4+ hours and typically end the day will biz related work.

“But for a piece of this size and scale, I know it will take a long time to complete so my goal is to make progress every day, often 6-7 days a week.”

Hall also worked with McIlroy on a separate piece named ‘Walking Toward Greatness’ which depicts the golf icon walking with his caddie at Augusta before winning the title last year.

As well as gifting McIlroy the original artwork, he is also selling 30 limited edition signed and framed prints on his website for $4,500.
