THIS is the dramatic moment an 18-wheeler lorry loaded with cars was crushed in a horror morning smash with a freight train.
The alarming footage shows the driver jumping from the cabin as he leaves his vehicle on the tracks to watch in panic as his lorry is T-boned by the oncoming train.
Unable to stop, the train can be heard blasting its horn several times before it slams into the side of the lorry.
Upon impact, debris goes flying from the crushed lorry and the cars it was hauling.
Fortunately the train did not derail and no injuries were reported.
The crash happened in broad daylight around 10.12am on November 2 in the city of Schertz in Texas.
The Schertz Police Department confirmed the car hauler had stopped on the tracks before it was struck by the train.
Officers are now investigating the incident.
The collision is the second in the city within a week.
It follows a similar incident on October 28 where an Amtrack passenger train hit a semi-tractor trailer carrying rocks.
No injuries were reported but the train sustained minor damage.
In nearby San Antonio, a similar smash between an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer carrying band equipment for a high school and a train shocked locals on November 3.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 2.30pm to find the smashed lorry and trailer split in half after it was dragged down the tracks for about 600ft.
The San Antonio Police Department said the lorry had malfunctioned and was stuck on the tracks when the collision occurred.
The train was travelling at a slow speed which meant the driver and passenger of the lorry were able to get out before impact.
No injuries were reported.
Leander Independent School District confirmed a Vandegrift High School lorry was carrying band equipment for a school competition when it was struck.
The wider high school band community has been praised for lending instruments to Vandergrift students so they could still compete.
