WATCH the tense moment a contestant on The Wheel walks away empty-handed after all three celebrity helpers failed to answer the crucial jackpot question.
After sailing through the earlier rounds, the hopeful contestants reached the final with a shot at a life-changing sum — only to be let down when none of the celebs on the wheel could crack the last question.

All three contestants faced the same tricky jackpot question — and one by one, they each got it wrong.
With every incorrect answer, the prize money was slashed in half, until finally, it was reduced to zero.
Host Michael McIntyre watched on in disbelief as the wrong answers rolled in, and the contestants were forced to accept defeat with nothing to show for it.
The awkward moment quickly went viral, with fans flooding social media to share their frustration — and many claiming they knew the right answer all along.
Two of the questions were especially tough, leaving both the players and celebrity experts completely stumped.
It was a brutal end to the episode… but how would you have done under pressure?
Contestant Jonathan took on the first jackpot question for £52,000 – with help from YouTuber Harry Pinero.
The question was: “When fully grown, which of these species of shark is typically the largest? Great hammerhead shark, Great white shark, Tiger shark or Basking shark.”
Harry confessed he had no clue – but guessed a great hammerhead shark – which was incorrect.
The right answer was: Basking shark.
Next up was contestant Gillian, who chose a £26,000 jackpot question – with help from reality star Mark Wright.
The question was: “Which country is the world’s largest producer of coffee? Brazil, Colombia, India or Kenya.”
Both Gillian and Mark were drawn to Columbia and were gutted to find out they were incorrect.
The right answer was: Brazil.

- Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the “worst” question in the show’s history. Host Jeremy Clarkson asked: “From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?” The multiple choice answers were between G, K, M and W. In the end, and with the £32,000 safe, player Glen had to make a guess and went for G. It turned out to be correct as Nicole Kidman, Frances McDormand and Kate Winslet are among the stars who have won the Best Actress gong since 2000.
- The 1% Club – Viewers of Lee Mack’s popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: “Edna’s birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen’s birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir’s birthday must be the ‘X’ of January.” It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir’s birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence.
- The Chase – The ITV daytime favourite left fans scratching their heads when it threw up one of the most bizarre questions to ever grace the programme. One of the questions asked the player: “Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?” The options were – sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots – with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes.
With one more chance to win money, Gillian had another chance at the final jackpot question for £13,000.
This time, with help from Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan.
The question was: “Of these restaurants, which opened in the UK first? KFC, McDonald’s, Domino’s or Wagamamas.”
Katherine admitted she hasn’t been in the UK that long, but knows McDonald’s is really old.
Gillian agreed as she recalled having birthday parties there when she was young.
However, the correct answer was KFC – prompting gasps from the celebrities and leaving Gillian devastated.
Michael called the episode “a heartbreaker” and a “rollercoaster night” as it is rare that all the contestants walk away with nothing.
He ended the show saying: “We have no winner tonight, but thank you to all our experts. We’ll see you next time – and hopefully we’ll have a winner then – on The Wheel.”
