CORONATION Street has been caught out with a show blunder that hilariously sees a customer in Roy’s cafe served by a ‘ghost’.
The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment was spotted by one eagle-eyed viewer in Monday’s episode.
The clip opens in Roy’s Rolls where waitress Jodie Ramsey is cleaning down a table, while Bernie Winter is attending to the notice board.
But in the background, a punter is seen taking a coffee cup from someone over the counter.
Only nobody is there – or is there?
The moment was picked up on by unofficial Coronation Street podcast The Talk of the Street, who tweeted the clip on X and suggested there might be some paranormal activity at play.

“In tonight’s #corrie, more suggestion that ghosts exist? Jodie talks about it being a morgue in the cafe, dead or what, while this ghostly customer is ignored by her and Bernie and SERVED BY NO ONE!!!“
Fans were quick to react to the blunder, with one replying: “Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!”
While another simply commented with ghost and laughing face emojis.
It’s not the first time Weatherfield’s faithful greasy spoon has been the subject of a show mistake, with fans previously up in arms over a on-screen slip-up just last month.
Cobbles icon Roy Cropper – played by David Nielson – was seen charging a fan-favourite character for absolutely nothing.
Viewers were left scratching their heads when policeman Kit Green walked into Roy’s presumably to order some food.
However he didn’t have chance to order anything before Roy charged him £5.75 and then presented him with the card machine.
Without protest or questioning the transaction, Kit simply paid up and left the cafe.
One fan wrote: “Poor Kit, went into Roy’s, randomly paid £5.75, and then left without anything.”
“Looks like you now have to pay for just entering the Roy’s Rolls, as I never even heard Kit order anything,” said another.
While a third noted how it seemed to be a common blunder on the ITV soap.
“The amount of times somebody has paid for their roll or coffee and been told some news and just decided to leave without the goods is hilarious,” they wrote.
Coronation Street airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX.
