ENGLAND rugby stars were stunned to see Joe Marler eliminated in the final of Celebrity Traitors.
The former rugby star has become a TV fan favourite during his appearance on the hit BBC show.
His sharp humour and quick wit has made him one of the standout Faithfuls this season, earning him the support of the England team and numerous fans.
However, that support turned to horror on Thursday as Marler was betrayed by Nick Mohammed at the final roundtable.
The England Rugby page posted a video of players watching the finale together as the twist was revealed.
Some players were seen covering their faces while others gasped in disbelief as Mohammed revealed Marler’s name.
Other stars leapt from their seats while others swore as they watched on the big screen.
The sentiment was echoed by fans on social media who were stunned as Marler was “stabbed in the back”.
One fan said: “Pretty much the same in our house.”
A second said: “This sums up how I felt about it!”
