BAYERN MUNICH fans sparked mayhem inside the Emirates last night as violent clashes with police and stewards erupted before Arsenal’s Champions League showdown.
Shocking footage shared on X showed tempers boiling over in the away end long before kick-off as officers were forced to storm in and try to separate groups of agitated Bayern supporters.
In one disturbing moment, a fan appeared to be dragged down the tunnel by police as chaos spilled into the concourse area.
Witnesses inside the ground said the scenes were “very bad”, with pushing, shouting and flares adding to the tension.
Stewards struggled to keep control as the disorder grew, prompting a wave of officers to rush down the steps in an attempt to calm the crowd.
The trouble remained confined to the Bayern section, but the atmosphere around the ground shifted instantly as thousands watched the unrest unfold.
Fans nearby were left stunned as what should have been a huge European night turned sour before a ball had even been kicked.
The skirmishes overshadowed the build-up and left Arsenal supporters shaking their heads at the behaviour of the travelling fans.
But once the match finally got under way, Arsenal made sure the drama stayed far away from the pitch.
The Gunners produced a confident and ruthless performance to beat Bayern 3–1 in a statement win.

Jurrien Timber opened the scoring with a powerful header that sent the Emirates rocking after just 22 minutes.
Bayern’s 17-year-old sensation Lennart Karl pulled his side level before the break, giving the visitors brief hope.
But Arsenal dominated the second half, taking control of the contest with sharp, aggressive attacking play.
Substitute Noni Madueke restored the lead with a superb finish that left Bayern’s defence scrambling.
Then Gabriel Martinelli pounced on a defensive slip to slot home the third and seal the victory.
The win not only strengthened Arsenal’s grip on their Champions League group but also handed Bayern their first defeat of the season, capping off a nightmare night for the German giants on and off the pitch.
