Walton Goggins’ new Saturday Night Live monologue hinted at a cryptic turn in his alleged feud with his The White Lotus co-star Aimee Lou Wood – a month after the long-running sketch show became the flashpoint of a rumored feud between the pair.
Four weeks earlier the show ran a sketch spoofing The White Lotus, to glowing praise from Walton, who wrote online: ‘Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg.’
Meanwhile Aimee, whose teeth were mocked in the skit as being comically large, denounced the parody as ‘mean and unfunny’ and was seen shortly thereafter wiping away tears on the streets of London.
The stark difference came amid an already swirling blizzard of rumors that Walton and Aimee had fallen out, as they apparently unfollowed each other on social media.
Their complicated feud took another turn when they recently followed each other again, only for Aimee to then apparently do her best to avoid Walton on the red carpet of the Met Gala this Monday.
Now, during his opening monologue on Saturday Night Live, Walton has added another chapter to the saga with a blistering jibe at Aimee.

Walton and Aimee are pictured together on The White Lotus, as love interests
In a shocking move just one month after the show left them with polarized opinions, Walton avoided any mention of Aimee in his monologue at all.
Instead, he simply gently poked fun at his newly acquired ‘sex symbol’ status, pointing out the backhanded compliments he got from various media headlines.
He then touchingly danced with his mother Janet Long onstage, sharing that she used to take him to honky-tonks during his upbringing in Georgia.
Saturday Night Live then proceeded to launch into the evening’s sketches, which also avoided making fun of Aimee or making any mention of her at all.
The show came just five days after Aimee appeared to do her best to avoid Walton on the Met Gala red carpet — even as she hung out with another of her cast mates.
Ironically, Aimee and Walton looked as if they could have coordinated their black-and-white ensembles for this year’s Met Gala.
Walton, who was pictured posing on the red carpet with Kerry Washington, has struck up controversy in recent weeks after he and Aimee appeared to have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
It was a shocking change, as he had previously shared several gushing posts complimenting the Sex Education actress for her work with him on the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus.

Walton demonstrated his formidable versatility as a comic actor, such as in a sketch about how America’s founding fathers came up with the second amendment

He then switched to the role of a man who lasciviously flirts with two women in an increasingly explicit way – to the mounting horror of their watching sons

Walton also played an unsuccessful actor in a pretentious play, with the theater seats filled largely by service dogs who leave in the middle of his performance

He also starred in a musical sketch as ‘a fully grown-a** man with tiny baby feet’ who is the real owner of a lost pair of baby shoes found in a park

New cast member Jane Wickline plays the woman who found the shoe in the park, and who leaves Walton crestfallen at her refusal to date him after fate brought them together

Sam Rockwell earned applause for his cameo as a balloon salesman who also serves as a narrator of sorts, warning the audience that ‘Cinderella rules’ do not apply in reality

Walton also played one half of a couple who try to eat at a horror-themed restaurant only to be put off by staff members played by Bowen Yang and Ego Nwodim

Saturday Night Live alumna Cecily Strong returned to play Jeanine Pirro in the cold open, with James Austin Johnson as Donald Trump and Colin Jost as Pete Hegseth

Marcello Hernandez reprised his role as the Movie Guy during Weekend Update, during which he is pictured with the segment’s co-host Colin Jost

Heidi Gardner is pictured playing a skittish tourist in New York who is so terrified of the city’s crime problem she stays ensconced in her hotel

He played a tormented man named Rick vacationing at a luxurious White Lotus resort in Thailand, while Aimee played his much younger girlfriend, Chelsea.
The show later revealed that he had chosen to stay at the fictional resort in hopes of killing a man he believed was responsible for the death of his father.
The characters were among the buzziest members of the latest season’s ensemble, but Walton and Aimee puzzlingly kept their distance while promoting the series despite their earlier closeness and his effusive public praise of her performance.
Rumors spread after they were discovered to not be following each other that Walton may have blocked his costar.
Fans based the theory on the fact that previous comments and likes that she had left on his post — when they were still following each other — had apparently disappeared at some point.

According to the Instagram Help Center, comments and likes from a blocked user are removed from posts, leading fans to think that Walton had opted to distance himself from her for unknown reasons.
However, fans noticed that the two were again following each other days ago, suggesting that they may have worked out their differences.
Despite her still mysterious rumored feud with Walton, Aimee made a show of posing with her fellow White Lotus costar Patrick Schwarzenegger on the red carpet.
He wore an oversize black Balmain suit with pinstripes and a jacket that appeared to be tucked into his baggy trousers.
Patrick wore a ribbed yellow satin shirt and carried a burgundy leather clutch with a large gold buckle that matched his leather belt.
